Terms and conditions

Last updated 15 October 2026 · Version 2.5

Six things to know before you book

  1. An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis.

Your clinician decides the outcome. The assessment fee is not refunded if you are not diagnosed, but you can ask for a review. Your legal rights still apply.

  2. Give 4 days' notice to change a booking.

Before the deadline, rescheduling is free and cancellation costs £99. Late fees are shown below.

  3. Send documents by your assessment date.

We need questionnaires, school reports and letters by then. Later documents may require a new assessment.

  4. Check your care plan before paying.

We show the price, what is included and any repeating payments. You still pay for care already received if you stop treatment.

  5. A repeat prescription may need a check-up first.

Your clinician may need to speak with you or check your health. Your GP does not have to take over prescribing, and NHS-funded medication is not guaranteed.

  6. If medication makes you feel unwell, get medical advice.

Call 999 immediately for chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting or thoughts of harming yourself. Otherwise, contact us, your doctor or a pharmacist. If you need advice before we reply, call 111 in England, Scotland or Wales, or your GP out-of-hours service in Northern Ireland.

1. Who we are and what we doWho can use our service and when to get urgent help.

This is the agreement between you and ADHD Test Limited, trading as ADHD Simple. Nothing on this page reduces your rights under UK law.

By creating an account, booking or paying, you agree to these terms.

  • We are an online ADHD clinic providing assessment and treatment for adults.

  • We are owned by Simple Health Technology Limited (New Zealand company 9316973). ADHD Simple also operates through separate companies in New Zealand and Australia.

  • These terms apply to the services you receive from ADHD Test Limited. Another group company's terms apply if you use its services.

  • Clinicians are qualified, registered health professionals who provide or oversee your care. We hold insurance for our work, and our clinicians must meet their professional registration and insurance requirements.

  • Our service is for adults aged 18 or over. We will confirm whether we can provide the service you need in your location before you book.

  • We are not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E. For someone to talk to at any time, Samaritans is available on 116 123.

  • Our Medication Pathway is a programme of appointments and reviews to help manage ADHD medication.

  • In these terms, "we" and "us" means ADHD Test Limited, and "you" means the person using our services.

2. Your account and agreeing to these termsYour account, details and agreement to these terms.

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement.

  • Give us accurate, complete information and keep it up to date.

  • Keep your login private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

  • Creating an account, booking, paying or ticking "I agree" means you accept these terms. It counts as signing. We may ask you to agree again if the terms change.

  • Your choice about care. Accepting these terms does not mean agreeing to every treatment. Your clinician will explain the care, benefits, risks and other options, and answer your questions. You can refuse treatment or withdraw your agreement to it. The payment and cancellation rules still apply, along with your legal rights.

  • Video appointments. You need a suitable device, reliable internet and a private place to talk. Tell us if a technical problem interrupts the appointment. Your clinician may recommend an in-person examination or another service if video care is not suitable.

  • You must be in the United Kingdom for your appointment. Tell us about any overseas travel beforehand: it may affect whether we can provide care or prescribe medicine.

  • Help using our service. Email contact@adhdsimple.co.uk before your appointment if you need an interpreter, a support person, help with our website or another adjustment. We will discuss what we can reasonably arrange.

3. Paying for your carePrices, card payments and costs paid separately.

  • We show you the price and what is included before you agree to a service. Prices are in pounds sterling. Any VAT that applies is included in the price shown.

  • We provide private healthcare. Do not assume the NHS or an insurer will pay for your assessment, medication or follow-ups. If you plan to claim from an insurer, check your cover and any approval needed before booking.

  • You give us permission to take the payments you agree to. We explain the amounts, dates, any repeating payments and how to cancel before you agree. Booking an assessment does not sign you up to a separate subscription.

  • Please keep your payment details up to date. If a payment is declined, we may try it again as agreed in your payment plan.

  • Unless your plan says they are included, you pay separately for medicine, pharmacy charges, GP fees and other providers.

4. Changing or cancelling an appointmentNotice periods, fees and how to change a booking.

  • These rules cover assessment and Medication Pathway appointments. The deadline is 11:59pm, 4 calendar days before your appointment, in the local time zone on your booking. For example, for a Friday appointment, the deadline is Monday at 11:59pm. We must receive your request by the deadline.

  • Before the deadline, rescheduling is free. If you cancel, we keep the £99 booking fee and refund the rest of the payment for that appointment, subject to your legal rights.

  • After the deadline, or if you miss the appointment, the fee is £249 for either type of appointment. It applies whether you cancel, reschedule or do not attend.

  • This is the total fee. We do not add the £99 booking fee on top. Payments already made count towards this fee or any refund.

  • If another patient takes your cancelled slot, we keep only the £99 booking fee and refund the rest of the payment for that appointment.

  • If you call to cancel or reschedule and cannot get through, email contact@adhdsimple.co.uk before the deadline. An unanswered call is not a request to change your booking.

  • Refunds. We aim to refund your original payment method within 5–10 working days after confirming the refund. Your bank may take longer. Ask us if you prefer credit towards another booking. Your legal rights still apply.

  • Join on time. We run appointments to schedule. Your clinician will join the call at the booked start time.

  • Assessments. The clinician will wait for 15 minutes. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the clinician will leave the call and you will need to rebook. There will not be enough time left to complete the assessment safely.

  • Medication Pathway appointments. The clinician will wait for 5 minutes. If you are more than 5 minutes late, the clinician will leave the call and you will need to rebook. There will not be enough time left to complete the appointment safely.

  • These fees are for changing or missing an appointment. They are not a charge for sending a prescription request or the price of the whole Medication Pathway. We explain any separate service or subscription charge before you agree.

5. Payment plans and Ongoing CarePayment plans, subscriptions and cancellation.

  • A payment plan spreads an agreed price into instalments. Before you agree, we show you the total, each payment amount and date, and any other conditions.

  • A payment plan is different from a subscription. Finishing, pausing or stopping treatment does not cancel payments for care already received. Your legal rights still apply.

  • If we offer Ongoing Care as a subscription, we explain the monthly price, what it covers, when it starts and how to cancel. You can cancel in your account or by contacting us.

  • We explain any extra appointment fee before you book.

6. Your Medication PathwayWhat your agreed care plan includes.

  • The Medication Pathway helps you manage medication treatment when a clinician decides it is suitable. We explain the appointments, reviews and other support included before you pay.

  • The Medication Pathway payment is for your first medication appointment. If you cancel before that appointment, the cancellation rules in section 4 apply. Once that appointment has taken place, that payment is not refunded merely because you stop the pathway or no further appointments take place. Your legal rights still apply.

  • Your clinician discusses treatment options, benefits, side effects and health checks. Finding a suitable medicine or dose can take time. Medication is not suitable for everyone.

  • Contact us if you want to stop or pause the pathway. We will explain what happens to your care, agreed payments and any refund you are entitled to. Your legal rights still apply.

7. If you fall behind on paymentsLate payments and how they affect your care.

  • A payment is overdue when it is not paid by its due date. Contact us if you are having difficulty paying.

  • Before pausing care or trying to recover a debt, we will explain what is overdue and give you a reasonable chance to respond or catch up.

  • If the amount remains unpaid, we may use a debt collector or take court action. We may seek reasonable recovery costs only where your agreement and the law allow them.

  • We may pause care that can safely wait. A clinician will consider your safety and any arrangements you need before care is paused. This does not remove payments due for care already provided.

  • You can ask for your health information even if you owe us money: see our Privacy Policy.

  • We will never withhold urgent or necessary care where the law or our professional duties require us to provide it.

8. What your payment does, and doesn't, get youWhat your assessment fee covers and how reviews work.

  • The assessment fee pays for a specialist's time and expertise. Your clinician decides the outcome on the day. Nobody can promise a diagnosis beforehand.

  • If you are not diagnosed with ADHD, the assessment fee is not refunded because the assessment has taken place.

  • If you disagree with the outcome, ask the clinician who assessed you to review it. They will use information received on or before your assessment date. To have newer information considered, you will need a new assessment.

  • Paying does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis, medication, stimulant medication or ongoing treatment. Only qualified clinicians decide on diagnosis and treatment, using their professional judgement, medical guidelines and your circumstances.

  • Stopping medication or treatment does not give you a refund for care already received or cancel what you still owe for it. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply.

9. Ongoing treatment and prescriptionsSending prescriptions, pharmacy collections and travel.

  • Repeat prescriptions. They are not automatic. A clinician who is authorised to prescribe must decide whether the medicine and dose are safe for you.

  • We may ask health questions online. Your answers may mean you need a conversation or health checks before we can prescribe.

  • You cannot edit submitted answers yourself. Contact us about mistakes or changes so we can update your record. See how to request a correction.

  • Safe treatment. Your clinician may recommend a non-stimulant medicine or another approach. We may need blood pressure, pulse, weight, test results or an in-person examination. A clinician can pause, lower or change treatment if needed, including when checks are missing.

  • Collection limits. ADHD stimulants are controlled drugs. Prescriptions, amounts, expiry dates and repeat supplies must meet UK rules. The pharmacist must follow the prescription and their safety duties. A full 28-day supply or early collection is not guaranteed.

  • Your pharmacy. We issue your prescription using the process agreed with you. A message saying it has been issued or sent does not mean the pharmacy has received it or that your medicine is ready. The pharmacy manages its stock and processing. Contact us if it cannot find or process the prescription so we can help.

  • Your GP and shared care. Shared care is an agreement about which provider handles prescriptions and health checks. Your GP does not have to take over prescribing. We cannot guarantee shared care, NHS prescriptions or repayment of private costs. If shared care is refused or ends, we explain the options and costs before you agree to more private care.

  • Travel. Tell us and your pharmacy well before a trip, especially if you will be overseas during an appointment. Ask us for a letter confirming your prescribed treatment. It does not allow extra medication or override pharmacy, border or overseas rules.

  • Check the rules for every country you visit or pass through, including whether your medicine is allowed, how much you can carry and any permit needed. Carry it in its original labelled packaging with proof it was prescribed for you. We cannot guarantee overseas prescribing or an early or extra supply.

  • We cannot guarantee the same clinician throughout your care. We do not give clinical advice about people we are not treating.

10. Side effects and the follow-up clinicWhat to do if medication makes you feel unwell.

  • Medication can cause unwanted effects, called side effects. Get medical advice if you feel unwell or notice a worrying change. You do not need to be sure the medicine caused it.

  • Call 999 immediately for chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, or if you feel you might harm yourself. Do not wait for us to reply.

  • For other concerns, contact us, your regular doctor (GP) or a pharmacist. Do not stop medication or change the dose without advice from a doctor or pharmacist.

  • We do not provide round-the-clock or immediate support between appointments. If you need advice before we reply, use your local NHS urgent-care service. In England, Scotland and Wales, call 111. In Northern Ireland, contact your GP out-of-hours service.

  • Book a follow-up when you know you need one. We explain the reviews included in your plan and any extra fee before you book.

  • Do not wait for a routine appointment if you need urgent help.

11. What we need from youInformation, documents and checks we need from you.

  • Give us accurate, complete information about your health, conditions and medicines. Tell us promptly if anything changes.

  • Send these supporting documents by your assessment date:

    • questionnaires completed through ADHD Simple by someone who knows you well, such as a parent, partner or close friend

    • old school reports

    • letters from health professionals.

  • We only consider these documents if they arrive on or before your assessment date. We do not review other documents you send. You may need a new assessment for later documents to be considered.

  • This deadline is for assessment documents. Always tell us about new symptoms, side effects or anything affecting your current care.

  • Attend appointments or tell us in time if you cannot. Follow reasonable advice about your care and complete any checks we request.

  • Treat our staff with respect. If you withhold information or give inaccurate details, it can affect your safety and whether we can keep treating you.

12. When we end your careWhen care may end, notice periods and refunds.

  • We may end your care if:

    • our service cannot safely meet your care needs

    • you're abusive, threatening or disrespectful to our staff

    • your account is unpaid

    • we cannot safely or lawfully provide the care you need in your location.

  • We'll tell you in writing. Unless it's unsafe for our staff, we'll give you at least 5 working days' notice. If you ask, we'll send your notes to your GP or another provider.

  • If you need care we don't provide, we'll tell you and suggest where to go. Your assessment fee isn't refunded once the assessment has happened.

  • If we stop a service, we will refund any separate payment for an appointment or service we have not provided. The Medication Pathway payment is for the first medication appointment. Once that appointment has taken place, that payment is not refunded merely because later pathway care stops or no further appointments take place. Your legal rights still apply.

  • We don't pay for care you get from another provider, except where the law requires us to.

13. Your privacyHow we use your information and protect your privacy.

  • Our Privacy Policy explains recordings, artificial intelligence (AI), cookies, marketing and overseas access. It also explains how to see or correct your records or make a privacy complaint.

14. Your consumer rightsYour consumer rights and protections.

  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other laws protect your rights. These terms cannot remove rights that the law says you must keep. This applies to every payment, cancellation, refund and liability rule here.

  • We must provide services with reasonable care and skill. If we do not meet the legal standards, you may be entitled to have the service done again, a price reduction or a refund.

  • Tell us if information about your service is unclear or wrong so we can address it.

15. Limits on what we're responsible forOur responsibilities and limits on liability.

  • As required by law, we are responsible for loss or damage that could reasonably be expected if we break this agreement or fail to use reasonable care and skill.

  • We cannot limit our responsibility where the law does not allow it, including for death or injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your legal rights as a consumer.

  • Accurate information and following clinical advice help us care for you safely. We remain responsible for our own acts and omissions.

  • Events outside our control. A flood, fire, pandemic, power or internet failure may disrupt a service. We will tell you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce the problem or reschedule. If we cannot provide the service within a reasonable time, you may end it and receive any refund due under section 12. Your legal rights and our duties for urgent care still apply.

16. If we change these termsHow we update terms and tell you about changes.

  • We may update these terms when our services or the law change.

  • We post updates here and tell you about major changes by email or in the app, with reasonable notice before they take effect. If an urgent legal or safety change needs to happen sooner, we will explain why.

  • Continuing to use our services after the change date means you accept the new terms. If you disagree, you can stop using the service. Amounts already due, including payment-plan balances, still need to be paid.

17. How this agreement worksHow the agreement works and which law applies.

  • You need our written permission to transfer this agreement. We may transfer it or sell a debt you owe, and will tell you if the law requires.

  • Pay what is due in full. You can only withhold money if the law allows it.

  • Our agreement consists of these terms, our Privacy Policy and your agreed fees or payment plan. It replaces earlier agreements about these services.

  • Not enforcing a rule once does not stop us enforcing it later. We only give up a right in writing.

  • If a court changes or removes an invalid part of these terms, the rest still applies.

  • Do not copy, sell or distribute our website or assessment materials without permission from us or their owner. You can keep and share your own report and health information. Your legal rights still apply.

  • The law of England and Wales applies, without removing legal protections you must have where you live. You can bring a claim in a court that can hear it where you live, including Scotland or Northern Ireland where applicable.

18. Complaints and contactHow to contact us, raise a complaint and seek help.

  • If you are unhappy, email contact@adhdsimple.co.uk and we will try to resolve the problem. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 21 days, telling you if we need longer.

  • We can agree to ask an independent person to help resolve a dispute. This is optional: you can still use your legal rights or contact a regulator.

  • Depending on the concern, you can contact the relevant professional regulator, such as the General Medical Council or Nursing and Midwifery Council. You can also contact the healthcare regulator for the UK nation where the service is regulated. A regulator's role and the complaints it can consider vary.

  • For a privacy complaint, see our Privacy Policy and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
